Ambiance Air Digital Cable
The Ambiance AES cable gives the listener a large, dynamic, fast, three dimensional soundstage.
System used: Grimm MU1 server via AES > Grimm UC1 DAC > Kora TB200 Amp > Dynamikks Monitor 12 speakers.
The bass is clean and punchy while the top end smooth yet detailed. The piano keys were hit softly on the left side but clearly in the beginning verse as the acoustic guitar gently played with harmonic bloom on the right as Patricia Barber’s voice fluidly sings in the center. As the track goes on in this version, an acoustic bass plays after the first verse with clarity and authority. Jazzy clean and detailed with a forward center image that comes out in front of the speakers. The brushes move along the snare with live sounding tonality.
The entire Ambiance line of cables make music sound virtually live. You won’t find a more three dimensional, live sounding line of cables in audio anywhere near the price.
